Temperature Plot

Here we plot K, the entropy parameter appearing in our equation of state, K = P/ρΓ. This parameter effectively measures the temperature of the star. Initially the temperature is uniform, but starts to change as the star evolves: the strong bounce shock serves to heat up the matter through which the shock propagates. The plot of K is normalized to its initial value.

Note the appearance of a shock wave by the discontinuity in the entropy (K) profile and the kink in the field lines.
