The Complete Wavetrain from Relativistic Binary Inspiral

The Wavetrain

Here we exhibit the complete wavetrain as viewed along the axis of rotation of the binary system. The values reported are normalized for two neutron stars, each with rest mass of 1.5 M, with the observer located 100 Megaparsecs from the binary system. Note the computational efficiency of this scheme: for the computational cost of 14 orbits (one for each quasi-equilibrium configuration along the sequence), 214 cycles of the final inspiral wavetrain were produced.
