Organization of a scientific paper

This seems to be the traditional structure of a research paper, at least in the field of condensed matter physics.

1) Title
2) Author list
3) Affiliations
4) Abstract
5) Paragraph 1 : Introduction, historical background.
6) Paragraph 2 : Problems remaining unresolved and their importance.
7) Paragraph 3 : Brief explanation of your main results and achievements --this part can repeat the abstract to some extent.
8) Paragraph 4 : Technical part: Explain how you prepare your samples.
9) Paragraph 5 : Experimental part: Explain how the measurements are done. Some figure can be provided here to explain the sample geometry or the diagram of the experimental setup.
10) Paragraphs 6, 7, 8 : Description of the results, with some basic discussion of possible interpretations.
11) Paragraph 9,10 : Theoretical analysis of the results; discussion of pints which are understood and which are not understood. Conclusions can also be explained here.
12) Paragraph 11 : Conclusions sumamry. Some repetitions of the abstract are permissible here.
13) Acknowledgements (grants and colleagues).
