ARO/IARPA Review Meeting

The ARO/IARPA optical quantum computing program review meeting will be held at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) on Jan. 31 to Feb. 1, 2008.

The meeting will take place in University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC).

Tentative Schedule (as of Jan. 27, 2008)

UMBC is located just south of Baltimore, Maryland. It is recommended that all participants make flight reservations to the Baltimore/Washington International airport (BWI), since the drive to other airports such as Dulles can take several hours during peak traffic times. UMBC is roughly a five-minute drive from the BWI airport via rental car or taxi service.

Maps of the area and other information can be found here.  A list of recommended hotels can also be found here. However the closest and most convenient hotels are those near the BWI airport:

Hampton Inn @ BWI (UMBC rate $104/night)
Holiday Inn BWI (UMBC rate $137/night)
BWI Airport Marriott (UMBC rate $219/night)
Four Points by Sheraton (regular rate $170/night).

Attendees are urged to contact the hotels directly and make their own reservations.

UMBC will provide lunches and breakfast and no registration fee will be required.

UMBC Directions and Parking

From BWI-area Hotels:

Turn right onto Hilltop Circle, and at the third stop sign turn left onto Commons Drive. There is a parking garage immediately on the left. The Physics Building is just across Commons Drive from the parking garage. The review meeting will be held in Room 401 of the Physics Bldg.
